Pai Gow Poker

Objective

The objective is to beat both of the dealer's hands. If both of your hands beat both of the dealer's hands, you will receive a payout of 1 to 1 minus 5 % commission. If both of your hands lose against the dealer's, you lose your bet. If you win one hand, the round ends in a tie, and you keep your bet.

Private/Mulitplayer Table

Before the game begins you can chose between a Private or Multiplayer Table. In Pai Gow Poker for multiple players, players can chat to each other during the game. Even if you are not playing yourself, you can watch the other players playing.

Rules

Pai Gow Poker is played with a deck of 53 cards (52 standard cards and a joker). Each player is dealt 7 cards and must divide them into two hands. The first hand is made up of five cards and is the high-hand. The second hand is made up of only two cards and is called the low hand. The 5-card hand must always be higher than the 2-card hand. Example: If your seven cards are: Ace + Ace + 9 + 7 + 5 + 4 + 3 both aces must be in the high-hand (in the 5-card hand).

The highest hand in Pai Gow Poker is made up of five aces (i.e. four aces and a joker). This poker hand beats a Royal Flush. The ranking system in Pai Gow Poker differs from other poker games in that A-K-Q-J-10 is the highest straight, A-2-3-4-5 the second, followed by other chronological combinations such as K-Q-J-10-9. he joker can only be used as a single ace or to complete a flush, a straight, or a straight flush.

If Pai Gow Poker players regularly fail to divide their cards up into a high and a low hand, it is described as a Dead or Foul hand. If you make a mistake when dividing up your cards, you will be informed that you have to divide them again.

In the casino, players can also be the banker. This means that they occasionally have the opportunity to be the house or the bank. As the banker you have the advantage that you win a copy hand, just as the dealer would. However. if you are the bank you must also bet against the dealer. This bet is always the amount of your previous result or the minimum table bet. Your bet must also be higher than that of the other players on your table. Your cards will then be compared to those of the dealer. Then they are compared to those of the other players on the table. The house receives 5 % commission on your winnings. The seats at the table will play the bank in oder from seat 1 to 5, swapping with the dealer. Here it doesn't matter if the seat is occupied or not.

Pai Gow - Making Hands

The joker represents a "Wild Card" and can only be used to complete Straights, Flushes or Straight Flushes. If the joker is used in Straights or Straight Flushes, it gets the value and colour of any card that it needs to complete the hand. If the joker is used in a Flush, it gets the highest value of the colour which is missing. A joker can never be used to make a pair, execpt when used with an ace or a hand of Three of a Kind, Four of a Kind or Five of a Kind.

How to Play

1. Set the amount of your bet by clicking on the correct chip in your stack. To reduce the bet hold down the shift key and click with the left mouse button or use the UNDO button.
   
   
2. Place your bet on the betting area (Bet) and click on "Deal" to begin the game. You will be dealt seven cards face up. The dealer's cards are dealt face down.
   
   
3. Divide (split) your hand by clicking on the two cards you want to use for your low hand. Remember that the high hand must be worth more than the low hand. Then click on the "Done" button.
   
   
4. Now the dealer divides his/her cards into two hands and places them face up.
   
   
5. The game ends with a win for the player or the dealer, or a tie.
   Note: The dealer always wins when both have the same cards in the case of a tie. (King/Queen against King/Queen).
   
   
6. All information relating to game status is displayed and continuously refreshed.

Table Limits

In each game you can set an option for your preferred highest and lowest bets. Once you have set your highest and lowest bets they will be linked to a table of your choice. The table limits will be shown in the table limit area and can be made visible by moving the mouse over the area.
