Showdown Poker

Objective

The objective of Showdown Poker is to get the best possible five-card poker hand.

How to Play

The amount bet is increased or decreased by clicking the +/- buttons next to Credits bet. The payout table changes automatically depending on the amount bet. When you have made your bet, click the DEAL button to start the game round. Three two-card poker hands are dealt face up. Click on the poker hand that you wish to play. The selected poker hand will be played against the other two poker hands.
Five community cards are then dealt face up. The best poker hand made up of a two-card hand and the community cards wins the game round. If you win, the DOUBLE and COLLECT buttons will become active, giving you the opportunity to collect the win or to try to double the win.

Bonus Game

If you choose to try to double your win by clicking DOUBLE, a bonus game will be started. In the bonus game you predict whether the card turned face down is red or black. If successful, you have doubled your win and can again choose to collect or try to double the win. Correct colour pays double win.

Onboard Royal Flush 2000 X Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 (all community cards of the same suit).
Royal Flush 100 X Ace, King, Queen, Jack, and 10 (all of the same suit).
Straight Flush 25 X Five cards in numeric sequence and of the same suit.
Four of a Kind 10 X Four cards of the same value.
Full House 3 X One pair + three of a kind.
Flush 3 X Five cards of the same suit of any value.
Straight 3 X Five cards in numerical sequence but of different suits.
Three of a Kind 2 X Three cards of the same value.
Two Pair 2 X Two sets of two cards of the same value.
Jacks or Better 2 X A pair of Jacks or higher.
Low Pair 1 X A pair below Jacks.
High Card 1 X Five cards of different values.
Tie 1 X Two or more hands with the same value.

Glossary entries for this article:

  • Button

    Virtual dealer marker moved from player to player in a clockwise direction after each hand. The player on the button always acts last. Consequently the player left of the button, in the first position, always acts first.

  • Community cards

    The five cards on the board shared by all players.

  • Showdown

    All players still left in the pot after the final betting round show their cards to reveal the winner.
