Boxing

Aside from the following special betting rules, the common betting rules apply. The special rules will take precedence over the common rules nevertheless.

1. The Fight: The official start of the fight is when the bell is sounded for the beginning of the first round. All bets will be settled according to the official result declared by the official governing body immediately after the end of the fight. Any subsequent appeals or amendments to the result will not be taken into account for settlement purposes.

2. Postponed Fight: For confirmed fights if a contest is postponed and rescheduled to take place within 48 hours of the original start time, your bet on that contest will stand. If the contest does not take place within 48 hours, your bet will be void. If a rescheduled fight takes place in a country different from the original country, all bets will be void. If a fight is rescheduled and takes place on a different venue but in the same country, all bets are valid. The result at the end of the contest is final. This includes any recounts of the judges' scorecards. For betting purposes, any contest declared a 'technical draw' will result in the contest being deemed a draw. Any subsequent changes made by governing bodies will not count for betting purposes. If a fight ends in a draw and no odds have been offered for this option, all bets will be void.

3. Contestant Replaced: If one of the contestants is replaced by a substitute, bets on the original bout will be void.

4. Change to Scheduled Number of Rounds: In fights where the scheduled number of rounds changes, all bets will stand unless the result would be automatically determined by the change in the number of rounds (in which case, such bets will be voided). For example, if a fight gets changed from a 12 to a 10-round fight, only bets on rounds 11 and 12 will be void.

5. Failure to Come Out for a Round: If a boxer fails to come out for the next round, bets will be settled on his opponent having won the bout in the previous round.

6. Round Betting: Betting on the round in which the fight result will be determined. If a fight is stopped before the full number of rounds have been completed, or if a boxer is disqualified and a points decision is awarded, bets will be settled on the round in which the fight was stopped.

7. Draw or Technical Draw: We offer a draw price for all fights. However, if there is a draw the bets on either fighter to win will be deemed losers.

  • Draw is scorecard draw.
  • Technical draw is if the referee stops the fight due to an accidental injury or foul, before the required number of rounds have been completed for the fight to be decided on the judges’ scorecards (otherwise known as a technical decision).

8. KO or TKO: Knockout (KO) is when the boxer does not stand up after a 10 count. Technical knockout (TKO) is the 3 knockdown rule or if the referee steps in to stop the fight.

9. Decision or Technical Decision (Round Betting): If a fight is decided by a technical decision before the full number of rounds has been completed then the winner will be considered to have won in the round that the fight was stopped. Bets to win "On Points" will only be deemed winners if the full number of rounds are completed.

10. Points Decision (Method of Victory):  If a fight is decided (by a points decision) before the full number of rounds has been completed then the winner will be considered to have won in the round that the fight was stopped. In this situation bets on the winning fighter, to win on points, will be settled as winners. Bets on the knockout will be losers though.

A Decision is on scorecard points between the 3 judges.

  • Technical decision is when the fight can’t continue for any reason other than a KO/TKO or Disqualification (e.g. a clash of heads causing a cut), but the required number of rounds have been fought for the fight to be decided upon the judges’ scorecards.
  • Split Decision: Where 2 of the 3 judges score the same fighter as the winner, while the third judges scores the other fighter as the winner.
  • Majority Decision: Where 2 of the 3 judges score the same fighter as the winner, while the third indicates neither fighter won (i.e. draw).
  • Unanimous Decision: When all 3 judges have the same fighter as the winner.

11. Fight Result:  All bets will be settled on the result as declared in the ring. This settlement will not be subject to any revisions or amendments after the contestants have left the ring.

12. Total Rounds: Bets will be settled on the exact time that the fight is completed. Where a half is stated this is defined by the halfway point of the round. For example, 1 minute 30 seconds into a 3-minute round. For settlement purposes this halfway point will define the half for over/under betting. If a fight is stopped before the full number of rounds have been completed, or if a boxer is disqualified and a points decision is awarded, bets will be settled on the round in which the fight was stopped. If the fight is abandoned before its completion, all bets will be void unless the highest possible total to bet on has already been attained, in which case all bets stand.

13. Unconfirmed Bouts: Where we offer prices on fights that have not been announced or had a date set, bets will stand until the fight does take place or can be voided on request once we are reasonably satisfied the fight will not take place.

14. Future Fights: The one exception to the 48-hour rule, is fights that have been set up before the exact date is known and will be reclassified under the correct event and date, once an official announcement has been made. These fights will only be voided if either fighter is scheduled to fight another opponent instead. Once a fight has been reclassified, it is then subject to the 48-hour rule as normal.

15. Method of Victory: The official method of victory, given in the ring, will be used to settle this market. For clarification the offered are options:

  • KO: When a fighter fails to stand up after a 10 count.
  • TKO: When the bout is stopped by the referee or one fighter retires.
  • Technical Decision: When the bout is stopped by a cut/injury not caused by a punch and decided by the judge's scorecards before the scheduled number of rounds is completed.
  • Disqualification: When the bout is stopped and the referee declares one or both fighters as disqualified.
  • On Points: When the bout is decided by the judge's scorecards at the conclusion of the scheduled number of rounds.
  • Draw: When the judges' scorecards are a draw or when the referee stops the fight and declares a technical draw.

16. Knockdown/Referee’s counts

For settlement purposes, a knockdown is defined as a fighter being KO'd or receiving a mandatory eight count (anything deemed a slip by the referee will not count). For individual round knockdowns, all bets will be void should the fight end before the round starts.

17. Tournament Betting: In Tournament Boxing, for example Prizefighter, any fighter starting the tournament, who has to withdraw from the event due to injury will be deemed a loser.

18. Gone in 60 Seconds: The fight must be officially won by the boxer in question inside the first 60 seconds of Round 1.

19. Down but Not Out: A boxer must be knocked down and given a mandatory eight count and subsequently win the fight.

20. Fight Outcomes: No Contest - In the event of a 'no contest' being declared, all bets will be made void, with the exception of selections where the outcome has already been determined.

21. Related Sports (to Boxing): All of the above Boxing rules apply unless specific rules are available.
